Check The Status of Your Oman Visa

Check and Confirm the Status of Your Oman eVisa Application

Wondering about the progress of your Oman eVisa? Check the status of your application to find out.

If you have applied for your eVisa with OMVisas, you’ll receive updates on the status of your visa application.

Checking The Status of Your eVisa

Checking your Oman eVisa status is as simple as checking your emails if you’ve applied through our site.

You’ll receive an email from us every time the status of your application changes. These updates will also let you know if you need to provide any additional documents or information.

There are 3 stages of the application process, as detailed below.

1) Application received

Once you submit your online application, you’ll receive a confirmation email acknowledging the receipt of your request. This email will also instruct you to upload the necessary documents to your application. You might also receive an SMS reminder to do this.

You are not required to upload your passport image and other supporting documents when you fill out the form. These documents can be added to your application at your convenience.

However, you must upload the required documents at least 3 days before your travel date. If the documents are not uploaded, the Oman eVisa will not be processed, and your application status will remain incomplete.

2) Application pending

After successfully uploading and submitting the required documents, you’ll receive another status update email.

At this stage, your application has been completed and is awaiting review by the Omani authorities.

3) Application approved or denied

Once the Omani authorities have reviewed your application, we’ll let you know whether it was approved or denied.

Approved

In most cases, your visa request will be successful. You’ll receive an email letting you know that the status of your application has changed to approved.

Your Oman eVisa will then be sent to your email address. It usually arrives very quickly, with most people receiving their eVisa within 1–2 days of applying.

You must print out your visa and present it to the authorities when you arrive in Oman.

Denied

In certain circumstances, your Oman visa application may be denied. You’ll receive an email letting you know that the status of your application has changed from pending to denied, as well as the reason for the denial.

Your application may have been denied because you did not meet the visa requirements to visit Oman, or because you failed to rectify an error.

Action required

Occasionally, you may need to correct an error in your application or provide additional information.

If this is the case, you’ll receive an email requesting the required details. It is important to promptly make the corrections or submit the requested documents.

The visa application process cannot proceed until these steps are completed. Make sure to frequently monitor your email inbox after submitting your visa application in case any urgent updates or actions are needed.

What can I do if my Oman visa application is unsuccessful?

If your Oman visa application is rejected, you must either reapply online or through the embassy.

To avoid eVisa rejection, verify that all your information is accurate and consistent with your passport details.

If you have unsuccessfully applied for an Oman visa through the government’s website, consider reapplying with OMVisas.

Our visa experts will review every part of your application and the supporting documents before they’re submitted to the Omani authorities.

Our thorough review process helps you to avoid errors in your application, which means it has a much higher chance of success.
