What Are the Oman eVisa Photo Requirements?
The Oman eVisa requirements state that your photo must meet the requirements to be accepted with your application.
All Oman tourist visa application photos must meet the following criteria:
- Color photo: Oman will not accept black and white pictures
- White background: Avoiding any patterned backdrop
- Directly facing the camera: Facial features are fully visible
- Face is fully visible: In the center of the picture, with equal white space on either side. The top of the shoulders and the crown of the head are visible.
- No headwear: Applicant’s face needs to be visible from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the chin (exception for religious headwear)
- No glasses or sunglasses: Camera glare can be caused by the lenses and obscure the face
- Taken recently: Applicants who have made any significant changes to their appearance, such as dyeing their hair, should make sure the photograph reflects this.
- No objects or other people in the frame: If a child needs to be supported while having their picture taken, there can be no evidence of this in the final photo
Oman eVisa Photo Size
Those who are applying for the Oman eVisa do not need to worry about the physical dimensions of the photograph as they can upload a digital photograph. The only requirement is that the picture should be in reduced file size, 200kb or less.
Applicants who upload a photograph with a large file size are likely to be asked to reupload the picture in a lower resolution. The photograph may be uploaded at a later time after the rest of the application has been submitted.
Oman embassy visa photo requirements
Those not eligible for the eVisa, who are required to apply for a visa at an Omani embassy or consulate, will need to ensure they meet the Oman visa photo size requirements.
It's necessary to ensure that the photo is passport-sized and measures 51mm x 51mm (2 x 2 inches). Those who provide an incorrect photo size during an embassy visa appointment are likely to have their application denied.
Applicants for a visa for Oman, whether online or from an embassy, are advised not to take their own photograph for the application unless they have suitable equipment and feel confident doing it at home. It’s best to have the picture taken at a professional photo studio to ensure the initial photograph provided is accepted.
